    About the role
Uneasy no settle is looking for two experienced content writers to join our publishing team, based in our Brighton office. The writers' main responsibilities will be:

    - Writing online travel guides and in depth articles to destinations and activities. We don't subscribe to typical travel writing clichés or overt marketing language; our writing is chatty, insightful and shows personality. (Around 80% of your time.)

    - An overhaul of the existing product pages, ensuring the visual and written style of these pages meets the high quality of the rest of our website. We are looking for a competent writer who is able to describe the vacations with personality and with the target audience in mind - using good SEO practice to increase search rankings and attract new visitors. (Around 15% of your time.)

As part of this role, you will receive training in using our database and will be uploading some of the content directly to the website. In addition to this, you will be creating and editing content to support the wider business. Examples may include updating existing travel guides, writing tailored articles to be published on external websites, and creating copy to use in our marketing and communications activities.

    About you
    • You enjoy inspiring and informing others about destinations, travel ideas and responsible tourism.
    • You are excited by responsible tourism, and have an awareness of the social and environmental impacts of traditional tourism.
    • You have a minimum of three years of experience of writing both longer form articles as well as copywriting for the web.
    • You have demonstrable desk-based research skills.
    • You have experience of rewriting, editing and proofreading copy, with excellent spelling and grammar, and attention to detail.
    • You are able to work quickly, accurately and to produce copy to deadlines.
    • SEO experience is desirable.

    Salary & benefits
    • Salary: £24,500 - £25,500, depending on experience
    • Vacation: 21 days' paid vacation plus bank vacations
    • Duration: Permanent
    • Hours: Full time (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday including a one-hour break). Please note - we are not able to offer this as a part time role.
    • Location: Uneasy no settle's office in central Brighton. There will be the option of working from home on certain days, though you will be expected to work from our Brighton office at least two days per week.
