1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

All of it but I guess the best was Ankor Wat and the hidden 5th entrance which was really interesting as no-one apart from our small group saw this.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Be prepared to be challenged especially crossing the roads in Cambodia.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes in the way local training restaurants were used and the gift of bags to reduce our use of plastic. The use of local guides must have helped local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Tiring as it was so so hot but really worthwhile, the guides were so informative and being local helped.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Difficult to choose - the temples at Angkor were amazing but the optional trip to the Tonle Sap lake and floating village was equally memorable. The latter also took you away from mass tourism which was a welcome change.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Consider adding a day at the beginning and/or end of the tour. You'll have a chance to settle in at the beginning so it doesn't feel rushed and at the end you can spend the extra day back at Angkor (you get a 3-day pass but only use 2 on the tour) or taking an optional excursion - as we did.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The meals included in the tour were all at training restaurants where local people were learning skills and good practice in different aspects of catering and hospitality. The standards were very high. Our guide was particularly keen to emphasise the use of local expertise and the emphasis on supporting environmental projects.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Excellent! Cambodia is a great place to visit and we were looked after with great care and attention - and had lots of laughs.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

It was all good - I enjoyed meeting the group, the tour guide and also the different part of the vacation. The killing fields were thought provoking. The temples of Angor amazing in so many different ways.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Comfortable walking shoes, plenty of water and you can fly out of Seim Reap to many destinations.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes. We visited home restaurants and ones where the local children were given instruction. We used tuktuk's and local bus companies.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Very comfortable, safe and enjoyable. The tour guide was approachable and knowledgeable and gave us detailed descriptions of the temples.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

A few things - at Angkor Bayon temple, I loved the faces in the towers. In Phonm Penh the trip to the genocide museum is pretty tough going but has to be seen

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Take up the optional activities - the trips to Tonle sap and the village tour were brilliant

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Great trip, but action packed so plan a few days at the end to see things at your own pace

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Without a doubt, the Temples at Angkor.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Bring a passport photo (for your Angkor pass) and plenty of mosquito repellent!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes & no : more care maybe over the choice of hotels. I'm sure most people choosing this trip would sacrifice some comfort for the sake of benefiting a local enterprise (rather than a large company, even if Cambodian).
